Diamond Dance - Saratoga Springs, NY

This Friday (Sept 18, 2013) we will be playing the monthly 'Diamond Dance' in Saratoga Springs, NY. It's always a good time in a great venue. Lots of dancing space to keep the fun moving.

Women of Rockabilly

This is a great documentary on 'Women of Rockabilly'. It's free on YouTube. It's about an hour long. It's a great watch. One thing that stood out for me in the documentary was the fact that all of the female rockabilly stars of the 50s were short changed because they were women. They rocked just as hard as the men, had better 'rock' voices and looked great on stage. I know it was the times (even in todays world women are short changed). But it was also the business. Women bought more 'teen idol' records than men so the flow of money (as usual), dictated where the art would flourish. That's my two cents on the subject of 'Women of Rockabilly'. Cheers!

Turning 50

Tomorrow my band 'The El Dorados' will be playing my 50th birthday party. It will be a good time. Kinda looking forward to turning 50. Not sure why. Maybe it's because a lot of my friends are in their 50s? Cheers!

Saratoga Springs NY 'Final Stretch'

Sept 09, 2013 - The 'Final Stretch' in Saratoga was great.  We played the eves of Aug 31 and Sept 1. Caroline St. in downtown Saratoga, NY was filled with people dancing and having a great time. It was great to see people responding to our performance who aren't our fans. We also got some exposure thanks to the 'Gazette'. Good times!
